African Business Information Institute is a not-for-profit institute of the ABIB social business foundation that seeks to empower, strenghten, and build capacities of small and medium size enterprises in Africa. It also seeks to promote responsible business practices in Africa. This is achieved through training, conferences, research publications and other forms of support offered to propel your business to the top

Programs

1. The African Bii-Ethical Leadership Program. This program offers its approach of a modern (economic) ethics based on self-reliance, integrity trust, entrepreneurial spiritedness and investment, i.e, individual responsibility as well as the necessity if credible and fair (formal and informal) institutions and their coompetent management, i.e, Ethics and Good Governance. Thus, it provides a conceptual basis for jointly rethinking existing – often divergent – mental models and working on shared perspectives which foster beneficial interchange and investments in social cooperation for reciprocal advantage(Win-win).
2. Building Global Cooperation. This program is designed as a common working program that stimulates mutual understanding and collective learning. It aims at bringing together people from business, politics and civil society and offers them both organizational platform as well as the conceptual framework for rethinking prevailing mental models. The program aims at building leadership qualities as a vital instrument for social change in modern society
3. Building Global Cooperation-New Alliances with Africa. This program serves as an imperative for supporting hopeful initiatives and processes in Africa as well as in the Western parts of the World that contribute to ocercoming old stereotypes and creating supportive conditions for true co-operation to take place. It worked closely with many businesses, NGO and Government to encourage the path taken by Africa to become a valued and authentic partner in international relations and at the same time reminds industrialized nations of necessary investments for the sustainable development of the continent

Objectives

• Prepare current and future leaders to apply basic ethical, social market economy ideas and concepts in line with competent empirical analyses with on the ground challenges
• It also aims at assisting African policy makers in their process of institutionalizing traditional African solidarity practices
• Organize training programs and seminars for the empowerement and capacity building of African Entrepreneurs
• Provide theoretical input, foster mutual dialogue and discussion, elaborate practical applications of learned concepts and inspire participants by integrating lighthouse examples
